Sahara Training Camps
& Club Expeditions

Bring your running club, cycling group or trekking expedition to a private base in Morocco's most remote dune field. Train hard on sand and piste. Recover well under the darkest sky in North Africa.

Plan Your Training Camp

Why the Sahara

Terrain you cannot replicate at home

Sand changes an athlete. Running or hiking on dunes recruits stabilizers, forces efficient form and builds strength that transfers directly to trail and ultra performance. Erg Chegaga offers 40 km of dunes, hard-packed piste for tempo work and gravel riding, and rocky hamada for technical sections, all starting from the camp gate.

For clubs preparing desert races and multi-stage ultras, this is specific preparation: real sand, real navigation, real self-sufficiency practice, with a comfortable and fully supported base to return to each evening.

And the recovery side matters as much as the work. Full board from our chef, hot showers, real beds in private tents, and evenings around the fire under a Bortle Class 1 sky. Your group trains like an expedition and sleeps like guests.

Your Private Base Camp

Full camp privatization for your club alone

Full Camp Privatization

8 private Berber suite tents for 8 to 16 athletes. No other guests. Briefings, kit sorting and debriefs happen on your schedule, not a hotel's.

Athlete Catering

Three meals daily built around training: early breakfasts before dawn sessions, carbohydrate-forward dinners, hydration and snacks on demand. Dietary needs accommodated.

Vehicle Support

4x4 support on long sessions: water drops, course marking, shadowing and athlete recovery. Guides plan routes with your coach before arrival.

Route Knowledge

Our team knows every dune line, piste and well in the region. Loop courses from 5 to 50 km, point-to-point stages, and navigation exercises on request.

Recovery Setup

Hot showers, real beds, shaded stretching areas and quiet. Massage therapists can be arranged for multi-day camps with advance notice.

Communication & Safety

No mobile signal in the deep desert. GPS devices, satellite phone, first aid kits and evacuation protocols are part of every camp plan.

Training Camp FAQ

Can a running or cycling club book the whole camp?
Yes. Training camps run as full privatizations for 8 to 16 athletes. Your club is the only group at camp, so briefings, early starts and kit chaos never disturb anyone.
What terrain is available?
Dunes up to 300 metres for sand and strength work, hard-packed piste for tempo runs and gravel riding, rocky hamada for technical sections, and open desert for navigation and expedition stages. Everything starts from the camp gate.
Is there vehicle support on long sessions?
Yes. 4x4 vehicles shadow long runs and rides with water, nutrition and first aid, mark loop courses, and recover athletes when needed. Routes are planned with your coach before arrival.
When is the best season?
The camp operates September through June, with October to April the prime training window: cool mornings, mild days and cold clear nights for recovery.
