Propose Under the Stars
of the Sahara
The most dramatic backdrop on earth. Candlelit dunes, complete privacy, a sky that performs for no other audience. We arrange everything in secret.
Plan Your ProposalWhy the desert
There is no backdrop like this anywhere else on earth
Erg Chegaga is Morocco's largest and most remote dune field. No neighbours, no other camps in sight, no ambient light from any direction. The stars arrive at dusk and stay until sunrise, and in between them, there is absolute silence.
A proposal here is not a moment among other moments. There is nothing competing with it. No restaurant noise, no passing strangers, no background. Just the two of you, the sand, and a sky classified Bortle Class 1, the darkest designation astronomers assign.
We have designed proposals for couples arriving by 4x4 and by helicopter. We have set candles in concentric rings on the dune face, placed champagne at precisely the right temperature, and timed the reveal to golden hour. Every detail is handled. All you bring is the question.
What We Arrange
Everything is in place before you arrive. She suspects nothing.
The Setup in the Dunes
Candles arranged on the sand. Rose petals. Champagne chilled in the desert air. We select the dune, the spot, the exact time. You arrive as if it is simply an evening walk.
The Private Chef Dinner
After the moment, a table already set in the open desert. Three-course Moroccan menu, lanterns overhead, no other sound. The celebration begins exactly where the proposal ended.
The Night Sky
Erg Chegaga has Bortle Class 1 darkness, the highest level of night-sky quality. The Milky Way is not a faint smear but a solid arch overhead. Saturn and its rings are visible without a telescope on clear nights.
Your Private Tent Suite
A Berber suite tent prepared for a celebration arrival: rose petals on the bed, a candle arrangement, a handwritten welcome note. Real beds, en-suite solar shower, private terrace facing the dunes.
Optional Additions
Tell us what you have in mind and we will make it happen
Helicopter Arrival from Marrakech
Land directly at the camp after crossing the High Atlas from above. The most cinematic possible beginning to the proposal day.
Photographer in the Dunes
We coordinate a photographer who is already positioned in the dunes before you arrive. She sees the camera only after you see her answer.
Private Stargazing Session
A guided 90-minute telescope session after dinner, under the brightest sky of your lives, the first night of your engagement.
Camelback Arrival at Sunset
Arrive at the proposal spot on camelback at golden hour. The route is short, the light is perfect, the timing is exact.
Rose Petal Tent Reveal
Your suite prepared for the celebration return: rose petals, champagne, candles and a handwritten card waiting on the pillow.
Midnight Berber Tea Ceremony
A traditional tea ceremony under the Milky Way, arranged for two, long after dinner. Some moments need no explanation.
All additions arranged on request. Share what you are imagining when you reach out.
"She had no idea. We walked up a dune at sunset and the whole setup was already there. The candles, the champagne, the silence. I cannot imagine a better place to ask."
