No date needed
You do not have to know when yet
Every booking page assumes you already chose your dates. Most people who should come here have not. The camp takes one group at a time, so the whole conversation is about weeks: which ones are held, which ones are open, and which ones would actually suit your year. Tell us the second part and we will handle the first.
We write when a week fits what you described, and not before. No newsletter, no sequence.
Who tends to be on this list
Four reasons people cannot name a date
People who run companies. The week you could leave is never the week you planned. Founders tell us the same thing: the problem is not the money or the flight, it is that nothing in the year is ever a good moment. So we stop asking you to pick one. You tell us which months are even conceivable, and we bring you a week when one opens.
People who would come without a partner. Travelling on your own is simplest on a week that already exists. Our dated retreats run with twelve places, so you arrive by yourself and the group, the programme and the week are already set. Several weeks a year are women only.
Teachers and facilitators. You cannot book a venue before you know how many students will come, and you cannot sell the trip before you have a venue. Tell us the season and the size you are aiming for, and we hold a conversation rather than a deposit.
Families and groups of friends. Getting eight or fourteen people to agree on a week takes months. The school holiday weeks go eight to ten months ahead, so the earlier you tell us the window, the more of them you can still have.
What you are putting your name down for
So that nothing is a surprise
Eight tent suites in the Erg Chegaga, about sixty kilometres beyond the last paved road. The camp takes 2 to 18 guests and up to 20 with extra beds, one group at a time, which is the only reason any of this works.
There is no wifi and no network. The only usable signal is 4G at the top of the big dune, twenty minutes there and back on foot, and the team keeps a satellite link for emergencies. The sky is rated Bortle 1, the darkest class there is.
The camp is open September to June and closed in July and August. From Marrakech it is about 8 hours 45 by road, of which 1 hour 30 is piste, or 1 hour 40 by helicopter.
You can also look at the weeks still open, the dated retreats, or hosting your own retreat.
The list
Tell us the shape of your year
We hold one group at a time, so dates are the whole conversation. Tell us when you could realistically go and what you are looking for. When a week opens that fits, you hear from us first, before it goes on the site.
