Is Morocco safe for executive corporate offsites?
Morocco is one of the most politically stable countries in North Africa and a well-established destination for international corporate travel. The Sahara region is remote but the route from Marrakech is managed with professional private 4x4 transfers. Security and logistics are handled in full by Umnya's team.
Can the offsite include structured strategy sessions?
Yes. The camp has a covered majlis that takes the whole group for facilitated sessions, equipped for presentations and group working formats. Most groups combine structured sessions in the morning with unstructured desert time in the afternoon and evening.
What is the minimum group size?
There is no minimum to reach. The camp is taken privately from 2 to 18 guests, and up to 20 with extra beds. Most executive offsites run with eight to twelve participants, but a founder group of four takes the same camp on the same terms.
How many nights does a leadership offsite need?
Two nights is the minimum that justifies the journey, and three gives two full working days. The road from Marrakech is about 8 hours 45, of which 1 hour 30 is piste on the last 60 km, or 1 hour 40 by helicopter. Teams that come to set a strategy usually stay three nights, with sessions in the morning and the desert in the afternoon.
How is an offsite quoted for a company?
As one global rate for the whole camp, set case by case for each request, never per person. You get a written figure, an itemised list of what is included and a day by day programme within 24 hours, invoiced once in the company name.
Can the team really work with no mobile coverage?
Yes, and it is the reason most teams come. Sessions are built to run offline: printed documents, a solar powered projector, a screen and paper boards, and no device pulling attention out of the room. The 4G signal returns at the top of the big dune, about twenty minutes there and back, and a satellite phone stays with the camp manager for emergencies.
Can participants arrive at different times?
Yes, and they almost always do. We run our own 4x4s with our own drivers and can collect people in Marrakech, Ouarzazate or Zagora on the same day. Part of the group sometimes arrives by helicopter, five or six seats per rotation, while the rest take the road.
What do you provide for legal and procurement teams?
Insurance certificates, the evacuation plan, the staff list, a signed confidentiality agreement and the operating licence. Ask for the full set in the first exchange and you have it the same day.

What this is not

Not a desert evening added to your offsite

Most desert programmes sold from Marrakech are an evening in the Agafay, a rocky plateau forty minutes from the city, with the team back at the hotel before midnight. It works as an outing. It leaves the way the group works together exactly as it found it.

Here the desert is the offsite, not an excursion inside it. The camp sits sixty kilometres past the last paved road, takes one group at a time, and holds that group for several nights. There is no mobile coverage except from the top of the dune behind the camp. Nobody is driving back to the city at the end of the evening.
